Glad you're learning - that waht it's all about!
You can get this type of spray in hardware stores and other places that sell shoe care products or camping supplies, such as all the various "-Mart" stores. There are better brands and worse - my favorite and the one I most strongly recommend is called Camp Dry and is made by Kiwi brand.
Thanks again! - KathyArt of Spirit LeatherWorkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13000233801394372656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8271795449011620937.post-8113031687225602312012-06-12T20:52:53.831-04:002012-06-12T20:52:53.831-04:00Hi Kathy, You mentioned a silicone spray sealant ...Hi Kathy, You mentioned a silicone spray sealant in a couple of your posts... is this something I can find in a hardware store or is it made specifically for leather? Do you recommend a particular brand? Thanks! Wipe it on, making sure to get it into the impressions, then when it dries wipe off the excess with a damp cloth. It's water-soluble, so you should seal the finished product with Leather Balm or another water-resistant finish Have fun! Kathy
PS - i checked your etsy shop - very nice work!!Art of Spirit LeatherWorkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13000233801394372656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8271795449011620937.post-21297054614777470602010-04-14T00:34:37.279-04:002010-04-14T00:34:37.279-04:00Hi from a fellow leathercrafter!
I was wondering ...Hi from a fellow leathercrafter!

I was wondering what product you use to highlight you colored leather pieces. I've tried the antiquing gel from Tandy and have not been too pleased with it. I see from the photo that you also use a Tandy product but I wasn't sure if it is the gel antique or perhaps a Hi-Lite stain.Desiréehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09274350019346059881noreply@blogger.com
